The Head Office of the Russian Investigative Committee has once again got enough data suggesting that military servants of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces and National Guard committed crimes. Thereby, the Investigative Committee opened two more criminal investigations in the use of prohibited means and ways of warfare under Part 1 of Article 356 of the RF Criminal Code.

Following an order given by Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee, a criminal case opened into attempted murder of two or more people under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, item “a” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code after an incident that happened in a school in Motovilikhinsky District of Perm, has been passed over to the Head Office of the Investigative Committee.

In reply to questions of journalists regarding allegations made by Polish commission looking into the 2010 crash of a Tupolev Tu-154M plane with Polish President Lech Kaczynski aboard, we would like to stress that no evidence has been produced confirming those allegations. The version of an explosion aboard the plane was checked by the Russia’s Investigative Committee as one of priorities, but was not confirmed. Specialists of the International Aviation Committee also conducted an investigation into the crash and came to the same conclusion.

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Office of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict a 31-year-old driver of a BMW vehicle of dangerous actions under Article 267.1 of the RF Criminal Code.

A federal TV channel has showed today a coverage telling about a fraud of officials of the Maritime Territory Education and Science Department connected with buying housing for teenagers leaving orphanages at overstated prices. It was stressed that many of the teenagers have not got their flats. The Maritime Territory Office of the Investigative Committee is looking into the fraud now.

On 4 January 2018, the Smolensk Region Office of the Investigative Committee received a report that the body of a child with signs of violent death was found in a house in the village of Agibalovo, Kholm-Zhirkovsky District.
