In Tula Region, probe launched in attack on paramedic
The Tula Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in battery under Article 116 of the RF Penal Code after an 18-year-old resident of Tula attacked a paramedic.
According to investigators, on 8 March 2017, an ambulance station got a report that a young man was lying on a sidewalk in Lenin Avenue in Tula. An ambulance crew went to the location and came back with the drunk man. The young man started to fight off the paramedics and hit a 27-year-old female paramedic on her face causing a bruise and a concussion. The man was stopped by police.
At present, the investigators are conducting necessary investigative operations to collect evidence. They have examined the scene, ordered forensic examinations, questioned eye-witnesses and are carrying out other procedural operations. The investigation is ongoing.
