Akram Azimov, involved into Saint Petersburg terrorist attack, put in custody pending trial by investigators’ request
The Major Cases Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee continues investigation of the Saint-Petersburg metro terrorist attack that took place on 3 April 2017. By the investigators request a court has put Akram Azimov in custody pending trial.
Akram Azimov, Abror Azimov’s brother, was detained yesterday in Moscow. RGD-5 hand grenade was found on him.
Investigators determine his role in the crime, as well as other information important for the investigation. Organizers and other persons involved into the terrorist attack are being searched for.
