The first major cases office of the Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee has finished an investigation against member of Orekhovskaya gang Igor Sosnovsky. He is charged with murdering 16 people, attempted murders of 5 and plotting a murder of one under Part 2 of Article 209, part 2 of Article 210, Part 3 of Article 222 of the RF Criminal Code; items “a”, “f”, “h” and “m” of Article 102 of the RSFSR Criminal Code, Part 1 of Article 30, Part 2, items “f”, “g” and “h” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code; Part 3 of Article 30 – Part 2, items “a”, “b”, “f”, “g”, “h” and “j” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code; Part 2, items “a”, “b”, “f”, “g”, “h” and “j” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

Boris Grits has been charged with attempted murder under Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 1 of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code. As became known earlier, the man got into the office of a radio station in Novy Arbat Street on the afternoon of 23 October 2017 and attacked the journalist by stabbing her in the neck.

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict Igor Lipovenko, Oleg Azarov, Sergei Kazarev, Artyom Mamotko, Pavel Stekanov, Alexander Smerdov, Vladimir Balashov, Oleg Koblov, Vladislav Frolov, Vladimir Mitin and Antonina Kotova. Depending on the role of each one, they were found guilty of banditry under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 209, murder under Part 2, items “a”, “g”, “h” and “j” of Article 105, attempted murder under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, items “a”, “g”, “h” and “j” of Article 105, organization of murder, solicitation, aiding and abetting of murder under Parts 3-5, Article 33, Part 2, items “a” and “h” of Article 105, complicity in attempted murder under Part 5 of Article 33, Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, item “h” of Article 105, robbery under Parts 2 and 4 of Article 162, attempted robbery under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, items “a” and “d” of Article 161 and illegal circulation of firearms under Article 222 of the RF Penal Code.

Boris Grits, 48, has been questioned by an investigator of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee as a suspect of an attempted murder of journalist Tatyana Felgengauer. When being detained, Grits had his driving lessons on him allowing investigators to quickly identify him. According to the suspect, he was born in Abkhazia, studied in Moscow and has double citizenship of Israel and Russia. In 2003, he went to Israel and came back to Russia a month ago. He is living at his friend’s. The suspect explained that he had been communicating with the victim for 5 years using telepathy. He disliked the woman and decided to kill her. The man had nothing to say about professional activity of Ms. Felgengauer.
