Investigative Committee holds workshop on practice of European Court of Human Rights
The Russian Investigative Committee has held today a workshop dedicated to the practice of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding violation of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The event was attended by employees of the Investigative Committee’s Central Office, officials of the Office of the RF Ombudsman at the European Court of Human Rights – Deputy Minister of Justice, representatives of secretariats of the European Court of Human Rights and the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
The workshop was broadcast via videoconference communication to territorial investigative offices.
Chairpersons of the Council of Europe told the attendees about convention criteria of effective investigation, features of execution of the ECHR’s orders and mentioned some aspects of Russian cases in comparison and pressing issues of case law practice at the ECHR.
